Work order types are used to determine the type of work that can be requested. For example, a maintenance type means that the rain gutters need to be cleaned out before the rainy season. Work order types are used in the Work Orders option. Use the following procedure to add a work order type:
1. Select Work Order Attachment Types from the Maintenance section of the Setup menu. The Work Order Attachment Types page is displayed.
2. Click Add.
3. Enter information in the fields provided.
• *Display Name: Enter the name that will display in the Type column/field in the Work Orders option (for example, Electrical).
• *Description: Enter a description of the work order type (for example, Rewire Electrical Fittings\Outlets).
• *Active: Select Yes or No from the drop-down list to specify whether the work order type is active.
• *Display Order: Select the order that the new work order type will display in the Type column/field in the Work Orders option.
4. Click Save. The Item successfully added message is displayed.
