Use the following procedure to add a work order status:
1. Select Work Order Statuses from the Setup menu. The Work Order Statuses page is displayed.
2. From the Work Order Statuses grid, click Add. A new row displays at the bottom of the grid.
3. Enter information in the fields provided.
• *Display Name: Enter the name that will display in the Status column/field in the Work Orders option.
• Display Order: Select the order that the work order status will display in the Status column/field in the Work Orders option.
• *Closed State: If you select Yes from the drop-down list, the work order is closed when this status is selected. If you select No, the work order changes status but stays open when this status is selected.
• *Active: This option allows you to temporarily or permanently remove a status from usage. Work orders that are not actively using the status are not affected by deactivating the status. Specify whether you want the status to display in the Status column/field by selecting Yes or No from the drop-down list.
Note: The read-only In Use column provides information about whether the status is used in one or more work orders and is not applicable when you are adding a new work order status.
4. Click Save. The Status successfully added message is displayed.
