Note: If a patron belongs to multiple groups linked to multiple room draws, and the patron selects a room, the patron will be removed from all other groups. This could cause a group to become invalid.
Use the following procedure to add patrons to a patron group:
1. Add a new patron group or select/edit an existing group.
2. With a patron group selected, click Add in the Group Members grid.
3. The Group Rules grid and a patron look-up menu will display. Using the patron look-up menu, select a search option in the drop-down menu:
•Find By Last, First: Search for a patron based on first or last name.
•Find By ID: Search for a patron based on ID number.
•Find By Alternate ID: Search for a patron based on Alternate ID number.
4. Enter text in the search field, and click Search. The search results display in the Patron List grid.
5. Click on the patron’s name to select the patron. The patron will be added to the group.
Note: Remember to add patrons that meet the criteria displayed in the Group Rules grid, which is displayed under the Group Members grid.
6. Continue with steps 3-5 to add patrons to a group.
7. Click Save.
8. The Group Rules grid will display information about the group. Verify that the Is Valid column is checked for all categories. This allows users to determine if all of the group template’s requirements have been met.
