When creating a Switch Lottery batch, an Assignment Maximum must be assigned for the assignment batch. Use the following guidelines to configure an Assignment Maximum for a Switch Lottery batch:

1.  Create an Assignment maximum for the term that will be used for the assignment batch.

2.  Add Rules the Assignment Maximum. Use the following guidelines for the Assignment Maximum rules:

•     Each rule must represent a facility floor or building to which a candidate can be assigned.

•     Each rule must be for the attribute Gender.

•     Each rule’s Max # Matching value should equal the number of spaces available for assignment within each floor or facility.

3.  After an Assignment Maximum is created, it must be selected on the Assignment Maximum tab when creating a Switch Lottery batch. Refer to the Select an Assignment Maximum for a Switch Lottery Batch section for information about adding the Assignment Maximum to the switch lottery batch.
