Use the following procedure to search for a patron’s attachments:
1. From the Maintenance section of the Facilities menu, select Inventory Item Summary.
2. In the Facility section, enter a facility name in the Facility field to search for a facility. Click Lookup.
Alternatively, click Tree to open the Facility Tree. Click on a facility to select the facility to view. If necessary, expand the tree by clicking on the expand icon for the desired parent facility.
3. In the Item Conditions section, select any Item Conditions to be included in the Inventory Item Summary grid. If necessary, use the CTRL and/or SHIFT keys to select multiple conditions.
4. In the Inventory Items section, select any Inventory Items to be included in the Inventory Item Summary grid. If necessary, use the CTRL and/or SHIFT keys to select multiple items.
5. Click Search. The results will be displayed in the Inventory Item Summary grid.
6. If necessary, filter the grid by clicking Filter Options and selecting Show Filter.
Note: To hide the search filter, click Filter Options and select Hide Filter. If the grid is currently filtered, however, a user must first click Clear Filter before selecting Hide Filter.
Use the following guidelines to filter the Patron Attachments grid:
• In any column with a search filter field, enter a value and click the filter menu to select a parameter.
• For columns with drop-down menu filters, select an option from the menu.
• Each time a column is filtered, the Inventory Item Summary grid will be automatically updated.
• To add or remove grid columns, right-click the column heading, and select the Columns option. Check a column to add it to the grid, or uncheck a column to remove it from the grid.
• To view all items in the Columns list, use the up or down arrows. Alternatively, scroll through the list using the mouse scroll-wheel.
• To add all columns to the grid, select Add All. To remove all columns from the grid, click Remove All.
• To restore the default columns, click Restore Default. Restoring default columns does not restore column ordering or sorting—only which columns are displayed.
• To resize a column, hover over the column heading’s border until the cursor is displayed as a double arrow icon. Click the border and drag the column width to the desired size.
• To move a column, hover over the column heading’s cell until the cursor is displayed as a quadruple arrow icon. Click the column heading’s cell and drag the column to the desired location within the grid.
• The Inventory Item Summary grid will only be filtered by columns that are visible.
• The last configured column state is retained per ResCenter user.
• To sort a column, click the column heading to sort the data in descending order.
• Clicking the column heading again will sort the data in ascending order.
• Clicking the column a third time will remove the sorting configuration.
• Removing the column and adding it again will restore the column sorting to its default, non-sorted state.
• The last sorted column state is retained per ResCenter user.
After configuring search filters for the Inventory Item Summary grid, a set of filters can be saved. Only one set of filters can be saved at one time. Saving a search filter will overwrite the previously saved filter.
When a user navigates to this grid, the saved filter (if one is available) will automatically be applied to the grid.
To save a search filter, click Filter Options and select Save Filter.
Note: Saved search filters are per ResCenter user. Saving a search filter does not save column sorting. Column sorting is retained across session per ResCenter user.
A saved search filter can be loaded to filter the Inventory Item Summary grid.
The load button loads the previously saved filter. When the filter is loaded, only filters for the columns that are currently displayed will be loaded. Loading a filter does not overwrite the saved filter.
To load the search filter, click Filter Options and select Load Filter.
Note: Loading a search filter does not alter column sorting. Column sorting is retained across session per ResCenter user.
To hide the search filter, click Filter Options and select Hide Filter. If the grid is currently filtered, however, a user must first click Clear Filter before selecting Hide Filter. Using Clear Filter removes all filtering values but the filtering fields will still be available.
