Use the System Parameters page (accessed via Setup > Patron > System Parameters) to define system parameters for the Patron module.
The following Patron system parameters are available for the Patron module:
• Show patron picture: Enables or disables view access to patron pictures for all users. If the value is checked and the user has permission to view pictures but there is no picture for a particular patron, a image will be displayed.
• Attribute to restrict access to patron: Restricts access of a staff member to a specific set of patrons, by attribute.
For more information about patron record restriction, refer to the Add a Staff Member section in the Security Setup section.
• Automatically generate Patron ID: Select this option to enable auto-generation of Patron ID numbers.
• Patron ID prefix: If ID auto-generation is enabled, entered a pre-fix that will be added to the beginning of each Patron ID.
• Patron ID next in sequence: If ID auto-generation is enabled, this value determines the start of the numeric ID range for sequential ID number generation. Because ID numbers are a fixed length, the numeric portion is left-padded with 0s (zeroes) to reach the defined length.
• Name Display Format: Select a format for how names are displayed in ResCenter.
Note: For any patron that does not have all possible names populated in their profile, ResCenter will display the names that are available in a simplified format.
The following Patron Activity from CS Gold system parameters are available for the Patron module:
• Connection Address: Enter your CS Gold system’s IP address and port number in the following format: ##.#.###.##:####. Contact CBORD Support for these values, if necessary.
• Number of days from last activity for alert: Enter a numeric value for the number of days of CS Gold patron inactivity required to display an alert on the inactive patron’s profile page. For example: If 5 is entered, for any patron not active in CS Gold for the previous 5 (or more) days, an alert will be displayed on that patron’s profile page in ResCenter.
Refer to the Edit a Patron section for more information about the Last ___ Activity field.
The following Resident Check-In/Out system parameters are available for the Patron module:
• Check-in attribute group: Select a check-in attribute group from the drop-down list. The attribute group contains patron attribute flags, patron attributes, and patron attribute groups defined in Odyssey HMS for items you track during check-in, such as issuing room keys and parking permits.
o Also use for holidays: Select this check box to use the same check-in attribute group for holiday check-ins.
• Check-out attribute group: Select a check-out attribute group from
the drop-down list. The attribute group contains patron attribute flags, patron
attributes, and patron attribute groups defined in Odyssey HMS for items you
track during check-out, such as room keys returned and documents signed.
If
you include the built-in patron attribute Express Check-Out in the
Check-out attribute group and set this flag during check-out through ResCenter
Mobile, the resident room inspection will be automatically completed by setting
the status to Completed and displaying Express Check-Out in the
Staff Note column of the resident room inspection.
o Also use for holidays: Select this check box to use the same check-out attribute group for holiday check-outs.
• Resident attribute display group: Select a resident attribute display group option from the drop-down list. The values will be displayed on the first Check-In and Check-Out pages in ResCenter Mobile.
• Check In/Out updates Patron Contract: If set to Yes, in the List of Patron Contracts grid on the patron’s Contracts tab, the related contract’s Status, Actual Start/End dates, and Check In/Out Dates and Times will be set according to when the patron checks-in or checks-out.
If set to No, only the Check-In and Check-Out attributes will be updated, but the contract will not be altered.

• Display occupant information: Select the option to display or not display occupant information by selecting Yes or No, or choose to only display Gender Matches.

The Family member age to count for a space and Family relationships to count for a space parameters will be used to determine the number of spaces required for the family.
