The following settings determine what information is displayed when patrons access a Room Selection in the GET mobile app. Patrons can also filter the available facilities by the defined Facility and Patron Attributes.
1. In the Select Buildings menu, select the buildings available to patrons when selecting a room. For any buildings selected, patrons will be able to view and select rooms available within the buildings.
2. In the Select Facility Attributes menu, select which facility attributes will be featured for the facilities displayed to patrons.
When patron selects a Room Selection definition a list of possible buildings will be displayed. Each building will show any defined Facility Attributes selected in the Select Facility Attributes menu if the Attributes have a Yes value. Once the patron selects a building and then selects a room, all of the room’s Attributes—including Attributes with a No value—will be displayed along with their values.
3. In the Select Occupant Attributes menu, select patron attributes to be displayed for each room with at least one occupant. The attributes displayed indicate the attribute values of the patron already assigned to the room (the “occupant”) and will be viewable to patrons looking for a room (“candidates”). For example: Patron Attributes may display study or music preferences of the occupant in the room.
Note: CBORD recommends avoiding selecting patron attributes that may reveal identifying patron information (such as First Name or Last Name).
4. Click Save.
After the Room Selection configuration is saved, it will be listed in the Room Selection grid. The defined set of patrons will be granted access to the Room Selection when it is their designated date and time. If the Room Selection definition’s Access List is staggered and ordered and includes a Random Lottery, the Access Lists’s order will change each time a ResCenter user re-saves the Access List after viewing or editing it.
