After creating a Form definition and adding elements to the Form, the last step in the Form process is adding requirements to the Form.
For Applications, requirements are a defined set of patron attribute values that a patron record must match for the patron to have access to the Form.
For Example: If an Application Form should only be available to an institution’s patrons who are Juniors and Seniors, a Class attribute would be added, and Junior and Senior would be selected as the patron requirement.
Note: Requirements must be set for the Form to be accessible to patrons. If attribute requirements are not set, then patrons will NOT have access to the Form.
1. In the Patron Requirements dialog, select an Attribute from the drop-down menu.
If necessary, enter the name of an Attribute to search for the Attribute. Results will be displayed automatically as text is entered.
2. Use the drop-down menu to select the necessary Attribute values. Patrons matching any of the selected values for the Form’s defined Term will be allowed access to the Form.
Notes: As of ResCenter v20.1, it is only possible to select values from one attribute as a Form requirement. In a future release, more than one attribute can be added as a patron requirement.
Additionally, Yes/No-type attributes are not available for selection in the Attribute Requirements dialog.
3. If necessary, select the Bypass Deposit/Fee Payment option to define a subset of patrons that are not required to pay the deposit or fee.
If enabled, select an Attribute and one or more Attribute Values. Patrons with corresponding Attribute Values for the Form’s Term will be not be required to include a fee or payment when they submit the Application Form.
4. If necessary, select the Allow Patrons to edit this Form after submitting option to allow patrons to make changes to the Form after it has been submitted. If a payment is associated with the Form, the patron will not be prompted to submit the payment again when editing the Form.
Note: If a Patron edits a Form, the Form cannot be saved in a Pending state; an edited Form can only be Submitted. Once it is Submitted, a Patron can re-edit the Form, if necessary.
5. Click Save & Exit.
Alternatively, click No Requirements. The Form will be saved, but patrons will NOT have access to it. Patron requirements can be added later by editing the form definition, saving the Form, and then configuring the Requirements.
