Contact Management Item Types

For communication items stored in the Contact Management module of Odyssey HMS, a read-only record of the item will be viewable via the Communication Items grid.

View a Document

Use the following procedure to view an Document from the Communications tab:

1.  From the Patron menu, select Search for Patron and perform a search for a patron.

2.  From the Patron List grid, click a row to select a patron.

3.  Select the Communications tab.

4.  In the Communication Items grid, click View next to a Document. The following read-only information will be displayed:

     Document

     Address Type

     Contract Person Type

     Reason

     Print Date

     Comments

     Staff Responsible

     Due Date

     Status

View an Email

Use the following procedure to view an Email from the Communications tab:

1.  From the Patron menu, select Search for Patron and perform a search for a patron.

2.  From the Patron List grid, click a row to select a patron.

3.  Select the Communications tab.

4.  In the Communication Items grid, click View next to an Email. The following read-only information will be displayed:

     Sender

     CC

     BC

     Subject

     Reason

     Sent On

     Email Template

     Message Text

     Comments

     Staff Responsible

     Due Date

     Status

View a General Communication Item

Use the following procedure to view a general communication item from the Communications tab:

1.  From the Patron menu, select Search for Patron and perform a search for a patron.

2.  From the Patron List grid, click a row to select a patron.

3.  Select the Communications tab.

4.  In the Communication Items grid, click View next to a General item. The following read-only information will be displayed:

     Staff

     Reason

     Contact Date

     Initiated By

     Narrative

     Comments

     Staff Responsible

     Due Date

     Status
