The Room Selection Lottery page (accessed via the Web section of the Setup menu) allows administrators to configure lottery batches. The Lottery Batch function works in conjunction with ResCenter’s Group Formation feature.

A patron’s lottery number determines the patron’s priority regarding the room selection draw process. The higher a patron’s lottery number, the sooner the patron will get to choose a room.

Lottery Points are awarded to patrons within a group based on rules pertaining to the group members’ class level and independent pledge status. Years of residency in a specified college can also affect an undergraduate’s points. Graduate student points are determined by their class, priority reason code, and whether they have family members.
