Administrators can use Waiting Lists to allow Patrons to put their name on a list for a Facility request (such as a housing assignment change) or an Attribute Value request (such as to be assigned to a Living Learning Environment). The following scenarios are examples of how Waiting Lists can be used:
• A Patron is assigned to a building on campus but wants to move to another building. The Patron can add their name to the Waiting List and specify to which building they want to move.
• A Patron wants to be assigned to a Living Learning Environment. The Patron can add their name to the Waiting List and specify their requested program by selecting an Attribute Value for the Attribute that has been defined for the Waiting List.
• A Patron wants a parking spot on campus. In this scenario, the Patron can add their name to the Waiting List without needing to specify a Facility or Attribute Value.
Once a Waiting List is created, it must be linked to a Waiting List Form (and Form Type) via Setup > Web. The Waiting List Form must also be associated with an Application Form. This requirement allows any Patrons who submitted the Application to also have access to the Waiting List.
