Use the System Parameters page (accessed via Setup > Web > System Parameters) to define system parameters for the Web module.
The following General system parameters are available for the Web module:
• *Number of rows in grid per page: Enter the number of rows to display in a grid per page.
• Card map format: Enter the appropriate card control characters. For example, card format XXXXXCCCCCCCCC would indicate to ignore the first 5 positions and use the following 10 positions for extracting the Card ID. Contact your Card System Specialist for details on the appropriate card mapping used at your institution.
When using a Socket Mobile with data in multiple tracks, if the 1st track does NOT have the Patron ID information, configure the Card ID format with X’s for the entire length of the 1st track data. In this situation, do not use both Socket Mobile devices AND Motorola devices.
• Web Patron URL: Enter the address of your institution’s MyResCenter Web site.
• Floor plan mapping screen resolution: Select your workstation monitor’s resolution (or the closest resolution) to allow ResCenter to rescale floor plan images to the best viewable size. The following resolutions are available:
o 1024 x 768
o 1152 x 864
o 1280 x 1024
o 1920 x 1080
• System Timeout (Minutes): Enter the number of minutes that a ResCenter session can be idle before the user is automatically logged-out. Upon logging-in, the session will be restored back to its last page.
• GET Site ID: Enter the GET Site ID code. The GET Site ID is an encryption key used to connect ResCenter with the GET mobile app.
When the GET Site ID is defined in ResCenter, a staff user can perform a check-in or check-out for ResCenter patrons by scanning a GET My Card bar code in conjunction with the Odyssey Reader app. The GET Site ID is also used for the GET mobile app patrons to communicate with ResCenter staff via the Conversations function.
The GET Site ID code is provided by CBORD. Contact CBORD Support for any questions about this process.
